This license allows anyone to make stuff for OF COAL & CORPSES and either publish it for free or sell it, without us taking a cut. Adventures, hacks, modules, anything goes.
With the exception of Novels, Graphic Novels, Comic Books, Film, TV, Streaming content & Video Games.

Just a few basic rules:
CONTENT
1. If you adhere to these terms you are allowed to publish free or commercial material based upon and/or declaring compatibility with OF COAL & CORPSES without express permission from either Daniel A Finney, AxXon_N.47 or Overland Empire.
2. Art and text from our books may not be reused or translated, unless you have our explicit permission. This does not include the Cinder Press Prognostications (Of Coal & Corpses pages 55-56)—which you may recite in its entirety. You can also use the names of creatures, locations and entities of the game world.
3. The mechanics and game rules of Of Coal & Corpses may be reused and referenced freely.
BRANDING
4. Your product cannot use the Overland Empire, AxXon_N.47, Attle Cry or the OF COAL & CORPSES logo unless you have our explicit permission.
5. You are allowed and encouraged (but not required) to use the OF COAL & CORPSES compatibility logo.
6. You’re not allowed to give the impression that this is an official OF COAL & CORPSES product or that we endorse or sponsor you in any way unless we’ve made special arrangements with you.
LEGAL
7. Daniel A. Finney, AxXon_N.47 or Overland Empire takes no responsibility for any legal claims against your product.
8. Any legal disputes, controversies or claims related to this license shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and be settled by an English court.
9. The following text must be included in the legal text, somewhere visible in the publication, and on the website or storefront where you promote the product:
"[Product name] is an independent production by [Author or Publisher] and is not affiliated with Daniel A. Finney, AxXon_N.47 or Overland Empire. It is published under the Of Coal & Corpses Third Party License."
10. This copyright text must be legibly included somewhere in the product and on the storefront:
"Of Coal & Corpses is ©2026 Daniel A. Finney"
Remember: Make it dark, depressing, weird and cruel. But let everyone partake in the suffering. Be sure to avoid sexist, racist, homophobic and transphobic tropes and themes in your content. There's plenty of that crap in the real world already. The world of Of Coal & Corpses doesn't need it.
